Middle Eastern Rice with Black Beans and Chickpeas

Tip: This can also be a side, just take out turkey

  1. Chop garlic and measure out rice/seasonings
  2. Heat olive oil in a dutch oven
  3. Add garlic for ~30 seconds, until fragrant
    1. Don’t burn it
  4. Add rice and seasonings for 5 min
  5. Add chicken stock and bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 min (until liquid is absorbed)
  6. Meanwhile, cook the turkey, drain/rinse both beans, and chop cilantro/parsley
  7. When rice is done, add turkey, both beans, cilantro, parsley, nuts and S/P
