Peruvian Grilled Chicken with Creamy Green Sauce

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • T lime juice
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 2 t cumin
  • 1 t paprika
  • 1/2 t dried oregano
  • T olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken thighs
  • 3 jalapeños seeded (use less or no seeds for less heat)
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt


  1. Blend soy sauce, 2T lime juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, oregano, a pinch of black pepper, and 1 T oil
  2. Combine with chicken in a ziplock and marinate 8-24 hours
  3. Blend jalapenos, cilantro, garlic, mayo, yogurt, 1 T lime juice and S/P. Slowly add 2 T oil while blending
  4. Grill the chicken and top with the blender sauce from step 3
