Sesame Salmon Burgers

  • 1 lb Salmon, no skin or 16 oz canned salmon (easier)
  • 1 T Sesame Oil
  • 1 T Red Wine Vinegar
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 2 t ground Ginger
  • 1/4 cup Scallions
  • 1/4 cup Sesame Seeds
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 handful of Breadcrumbs or 1 T Flour
  • Oil for frying (I used grape seed and olive)


Tip: Make the salmon mixture ahead

  1. Cut salmon into small cubes if using fresh salmon
  2. Chop garlic and scallions (white and green parts)
  3. In a large bowl, combine salmon, oil, vinegar, garlic, ginger, scallions, sesame seeds, and eggs
  4. Stir in breadcrumbs and make 1/4 cup patties
  5. Heat oil in a pan and cook patties 4-6 minutes per side
  6. Dry patties over a paper towel and serve
