Crock Pot Honey, Ginger, Apple Shredded Pork

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb Pork Shoulder or Tenderloin
  • 1 Onion
  • 2-3 Apples
  • 2/3 cup Beef or Chicken broth
  • 1 T Honey
  • 2 T ground Ginger
  • 2 t Cinnamon
  • Salt/Pepper
  • 1/2 t Smoked Paprika (or 1-2 t regular)
  • 4-5 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Bay Leaves

Instructions:

  1. Chop onion only horizontally into rings
  2. Core apples and slice into wedges
  3. Chop garlic
  4. Add ingredients to crock pot in this order:
    1. broth
    2. onions
    3. pork, sliced into 3-4 pieces
    4. apples
    5. honey, ginger, cinnamon, S/P, paprika, garlic and bay leaves
  5. Cook on low for 8-10 hours
